„participation – now!“ – Final Conference in Lodz:
The last big step by the international youth democracy project “participation – now!” took place from 3rd till 5th of July in Lodz.
At “Poleski Osrodek Sztuki” 56 youngsters, aged between 15 and 22 from Stuttgart, Strasbourg and Lodz came together for showing local and European Politicians the developments after the “Youth Summit 2008” in Strasbourg and the “final conference 2009” in Lodz.
Before the work in the three topic groups began, all participants and invited guests had the chance to follow the “Youth Summit 2008” with its results on big picture. Two professionals created fifteen minute film documentation about this three days summit at Strasbourg in November 2008. The viewers got some impressions of the workflow and the results, which were shown and discussed by the youngsters with politicians on a debate at the last day of the summit.
After this documentation the participants and politicians went into the following topic groups for a deeper conversation:
